About

Jessica Chandra, Psychologist

Jess is a warm and empathetic psychologist who believes in meeting people where they’re at. Her style is collaborative and reflective, with a calm presence attuned to each person she works with. She brings a compassionate approach shaped by both professional experience and a quiet familiarity with the complexities of grief, neurodivergence, and mental health.

Jess is a Registered Psychologist and an Educational and Developmental Psychology Registrar with experience supporting clients across the lifespan. She has worked:

  • in primary and high school settings in both teaching and counselling roles
  • with parents and infants in both inpatient and outpatient perinatal services
  • with children, adolescents, and adults in not-for-profit and private practice contexts

She offers counselling, assessment, and parenting support that reflects a commitment to early intervention, identity exploration, and holding space for life’s changes (both expected and unexpected). Jess is a Circle of Security – Parenting facilitator and is working towards accreditation in the Circle of Security – Intensive model.

Her work draws on attachment and systems frameworks, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion-focused principles. Jess is particularly interested in supporting clients navigating parenting, neurodivergence, grief, emotional wellbeing, and identity across different life stages.
